Hi, question to you all, since I'm a new bee here. I'm looking for a 1911 frame with an extended dust cover, I'v tried Caspian (I got my first frame from them) but they now no longer make these (Shame, they do great work).
My question to all, is does anyone know where or who does custom 1911 frames with extended dust covers. Thanks

I may be wrong, but if I remember, STI may have some. Go to www.brownells.com (http://www.brownells.com) and search on 1911 frame. Good luck:)

Just out of curiousity, why do you want an extended dust cover?

I like the way it looks. Plus it adds weight to the front end, for rapid firing in 3 gun shoots.

If you can't find the frame you want with the extended dust cover, a tungsten recoil spring guide will add a little weight to the muzzle for about $50.
