I bought a new Colt defender earlier this year, it came with two magazines I also purchased 2 more magazines another Colt and a Springfield Amory they work fine. I was wondering about the Chip McCormick magazines, are they different or stronger than Colt? thanks.

I agree. I have changed all of mine to Wilson synthetic followers as the "experts" all recommend it. :D
CMC and Colt are both good as far as brand goes.

Hey, Night Hawk. One of my two factory Defender magazines had to be replaced by Colt under warranty--couldn't even load the rounds in it! I've had absolutely no problems with the Metalform magazines I bought on one of the "group buys" at a great price, and they have the plastic followers. Wish I had bought more!

Years ago mine came with orange (nylon I think) followers on both mags. They have always worked 100% but I wish Colt had used black or another color instead or orange.
