I want to replace safety with standard Colt type safety but not sure how to remove the ambi. safety.
After conversion is made i will send the ambi to anyone who needs one free of charge if you send me your address.
Thanks in advance

If it's the "old style," you remove the left side as usual and then remove the right hand grip and then the right side safety. Or, you can pry out the right side first after removing the grip. The "old style" has a thin arm that goes under the right grip.
However, I suspect you have the newer style Kimber ambi that uses an extended hammer pin to hold the right side on. If so, remove the left hand part as you normally would. In this one, the left must be removed first. The two parts fit together with a tongue and groove on the pin. After the left side is out, rotate the right side up. It will rotate back and off the hammer pin. You will also need to get a standard hammer pin when you replace this safety.

Thanks Old Timer
At least Tuner still calls me "lad" (even though I think I've got a year or so on him.) :D
