I've been looking for one of these for some time.

It's my understanding that this design was developed by Elmer Keith together with knife maker Gil Hibben. I discovered that Gil Hibben still makes this design on custom order -- so I ordered one.
The blade is 440C and the fittings are 410 stainless. the handle is Madagascar ebony with a mammoth ivory inlay. It's a stout, heavy knife. The blade is 5.25 inches long and made from 3/8th inch stock.
As I mentioned, I believe that this knife design is a collaboration between Elmer Keith and Gil Hibben. I remember seeing an article on Elmer Keith's knives in an old issue of Guns & Ammo, but I don't have the magazine. If anyone knows anything about the history of this design, I'd very much appreciate the information.
