Wonderful to have an old .45 in my hands again after many years. Purchased a GI from Springfield and love it.

Only one thing is problem. I love shooting it so much. And now it is Deer season. Don't want to put it down. Maybe a tenderloin for Mr. Springfield. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Please PM me.

If you reload, I would use the Hornady 230 grain XTP's. If you don't reload, I would use the Winchester SXT's. If you reload, you can tinker with the load and get in a lot of practice.

Let us know how it works out.

Hi

You might check the local regulations. Some states get a bit weird about hunting with a handgun.

I must admit that had absolutely no affect on my grandfathers hunting habits :D.
