I have a P226 SAS DAk that is .40 caliber. Can I convert this to a 9mm, using a drop in bbl, making it a dual caliber gun? The dealer was very iffy about this. I have another 226 that I can use either the .40 bbl or the .357 Sig bbl.

I think BarSto makes a conversion barrel. Otherwise you have a smaller case head which probably will give problems. You could also convert it to 357 Sig fairly easy.

Make sure to get the CONVERSION barrel from Barsto though. They make both a 8mm and a 9mm conversion barrel. You may also need to get 226 9mm mags too.

Yes, a Barsto 9mm Conversion Barrel is they way to do it. You cannot use a factory 9mm barrel.

Shoot I just read my post again and saw I made a mistake. I meant to say:

"The make both a 9mm (as in standard replacement barrel) and a 9mm conversion barrel."

Sorry.
