All Steel or Steel/Alloy?

Are these guns all steel or steel and alloy combos?

I've seen mixed info both on Taurus' website and from reviews.

Any info on the guns you have?

Duke, from what i have heard it is all steel

I am not 100% sure about the trigger but the blued PT1911 Gov size I bought seems to be attracted to my magnet all over, including the mainspring housing. This usually means ferro-magnetic and usually means steel. I just got it and will weigh it and do some other exams before I shoot it. Right now I would say steel. How much is MIM is the next question. Still, an interesting 1911 for $500.

mine is all steel from what i can tell. (main parts that is)

I read in some of their pamphlets that they weighted 38oz. That would make them have a lot of steel in there somewhere. I am all most sure some of the parts would be MIM.
