I just tried to order a case of .45 ACP American Eagle ammo from Natchez. The advertised price on their e-flyer was over a dollar a box lower than what they would sell it for. They said the price of the ammo had gone up.
I think they should sell it for what the advertised price is in the flyer but no.
Has anyone else had this experience with Natchez?
Even with state and local tax it is about as cheap to buy it from a local dealer and avoid the wait.

disgruntled for sure

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Natchez in the past and always had good service. You might try speaking to a manager at the store. Maybe you'll get somewhere with management. Otherwise it's probably like fighting city hall. I think it stinks when any business advertises a price and then does not honor it.

Hi

I have always had good treatment from Natchez. Most places these days seem to have strange price adders on ammo and bullets. It's kind of a buy now before the price goes up later this week (or not) market.

Ammo and component prices are going thru the roof. They have been in the business long enough to know to qualify statements by putting limited to stock on hand, ect. I have not had problems with them and am surprised to hear they did this. They also are like every dealer and know full well what ammo prices are doing. Write them a nice email and tell them how disappointed you are.

I assume since you said "order" that this was a telephone order, not a store purchase. Usually, if a sale flyer doesn't have either an expiration date or a disclaimer that prices may vary, they are required to honor the printed price. I would call back and ask to speak to the general manager. Unless you are past an expiration date for a sale catalog or they have a discalimer, what they are doing is considered "bait and switch" and is illegal in most states, and probably also illegal in interstate commerce.

Hawkmoon,
It was a phone order. I do want to say I have ordered from Natchez many times and this is the first problem I have had with them. I will continue to do business with them but if this happens again I will take your advice and speak to a manager. Thanks

I've seen the same thing.... I most remember their .50 cal ammo can organizer trays.... listed for one price in the flyer and another in their website, and it shows up in subsequent flyers for the same price not reflected on their website. When that happens, I just don't order said item with the flyer vs website price discrepency. Their loss.

They are not paying me to be a proofreader, nor are they going to compensate me for taking the time to tell them why they missed a sale.

Having said that, I find plenty of bargains there and have purchased a lot of ammo from them, and will continue to do so, as long as I can find the items at the price I am willing to pay.
