Hey Welcome!
Did you have to do any gunsmithing to put those sights on?
If you don't mind, where did you get them and for how much?

These sites are Millet and had my local dealer order them from Brownells .. they cost less than $40.00 I installed them myself , the front one is easier to install if you have a staking tool,, to spread the little ear so it fits tight.. the rear just taps in place
with a brass drift and small hammer..

Looks Great! I was concerned about how to remove the front sight without messing the slide up. Not sure what a staking tool is? The rear should be a snap. How much higher are the new sights vs. the original ones?

A staking tool is, normaly, a special sort of punch. Brownells has them: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=916&title=1911+AUTO+FRONT+SIGHT+STAKER

This is a tool that allows you to displace the sight's skirt material. The material bends outward and secures the sight, almost like a rivet.

After staking the sight it's sometimes required to grind off excess material so that the bushing fits well again...

To remove the front site ,, clamp the sight in a good vise , you may want to
grind the flaired part that protrudes inside the slide with a dremmel tool .. then , gently tap the slide .. it should pull right off !!
