Nice, but you'll have a hard time locating holsters for your baby.

John, I thought so too. After some searching I found this holster company Edgeworks (http://www.tacticalholsters.com/socrig.htm) that makes a great tactical thigh holser with interchangeable cowlings for your particular light setup. I just received mine last week and it is top notch!

I really like the railed reciever of the OP. I wish I could find a good price under $900 for one. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a used one.
Are you with VZ Grips? I've e-mailed John a couple of times, but haven't heard from him.

Hello. This is my first post on this Forum. I have a morbid desire to own one of these pistols. What I would use it for is beyond me. I'm not a LEO, and I certainly would not want to carry anything heavier than a standard 5" 1911. From what I understand, it cannot be used for any gungames. But one keeps calling my name. I have a line on a milspec operator that is in minty condition for $500. I might just take the plunge. I like the milspec because I could add the parts I like, and not the one's I don't. I think the way Ted Yost modifies the front end of these pistols is awesome. I'm planning on going to my local range today and try out their TRP Operator. I have vision's of very little felt recoil.

I actually like the full length frame, but I like the angled cut of the shorter frame.....it's okay. The full length railed frame gives it the Desert Eagle look.

Hi Rrotz. Is your Operator the Loaded Operator, or did you have it built?

That's a nice touch by Yost. I still like the full length rail though.
Has anyone seen or bought the new MC Operator?

Kids are smart these days, aren't they?

Hi Rrotz. Is your Operator the Loaded Operator, or did you have it built?
I haven't got an OP yet, I'm looking for a used one for under $600 that I can trick out. I'd be happy with a loaded, the only thing I'd want to add is a Videcki/Casull Match Short Trigger.
Well I did it. Went to the indoor range today and rented their TRP Operator. What a joy it was. I was shooting 230 grain hardball, and recoil was minimal to say the least. I would imagine an IDPA or IPSC load would really keep the front sight still. Although I would personally never really see a need for this pistol, I sure would like to have one. I was really impressed with the sight picture the adjustable sight's provided. The trigger was very useable, not sure if it was tweaked by the range personel. I think I will pick up a Milspec operator and have my way with it. ;)

What's the going price for the Operators?
This site shows pricing for three version of the operator, but not the Pro Operator. btw it's a great company to do business with too. Hope this helps.

Springfield Armory (http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod-pstl-1911-op.shtml)
Take off about $200-$225 for what you can find them for. Sometimes less if your not in a hurry and have your radar on 24/7. :D

Mine both handle very nicely. The TRP Operator is very accurate. My only complaint with it is the Mickey-Mouse disassembly procedure for the guide rod. The Micro Operator is very reliable with any choice of ammo. Accurace is what you would expect from a 3" 1911. :)

Hows the Streamlight MX3 holding up?
So far, okay. I haven't fired a ton of rounds with it on (maybe 500 or so) but it's doing fine. I have seen a couple of threads on other forums from people complaining that theirs falls off after a few rounds, but those were M3 and M6. Jury is still out on the M3X I guess.

That is a MercWorx Seraphym (http://www.mercworx.com/seraphym.html) push dagger with an unusual old stock ivory handle and mosaic pin. It's the only one they've ever made like that.
http://home.cfl.rr.com/krowe2/photos/seraphym.jpg
yes the stock is what caught my eye. i have seen lots of cheep swap meet knives of that shape, and have always liked the design. but thats the first one that i can say is a work of art. nice knife.

My Operator is still at my smiths getting a Brown weld on magwelll and he's going to turn me out one of his full length one piece guide rods(I hate two piece guide rods). I have a Brown tactical mag catch I'll install and I'm going with TruGrip grips from Eric Wesselman http://www.ericwesselman.com/store/1911.html

Wow... people will buy anything... He's selling you about a dollar's worth of grip tape for $25 bucks. You can get enough to make about a dozen or more of his panels for $5. Crazy. As a matter of fact, my $5 worth of grip tape is sitting here with two holes cut out, cuz I messed the first one up. With a decent shape to trace, I wouldn't have even messed that one up. And I've still got enough to replace my grip tape from here until my kids inherit the gun...
Sorry, not meaning to knock your choices, but that's just crazy expensive for what you get.
