Well, this gun sure is a keeper! That's a test target with two different loads fired. This is the one I foolishly sold a while back but now own again. (Not to ever make that mistake again!) She has Trijicon's, a Bar-Sto barrel, STI short trigger, McCormick safety and tactical mag release, Pachmayr mainspring houseing and Pearce grip adapter. I want to get some slim grips for it and I've got a Wilson beavertail on the way. I still have yet to run a few hundred rounds through it with it hot and dirty to do Tuners reliability test, but I'm very pleased so far. 44 Man

That bullet is a 230 gr flat nose gas check that Lloyd Small cast for me. I had to play with the O.A. length until I got it to feed reliability, but she sure shoots good over 4.6 gr of Titegroup. Looks like a good wood's walking load!

Nice looking pistol. Dont let it get away again. Looks like you put the hurt on that target.

:geek: I couldn't see the picture of your Commander on this particular computer, I'll have to check it out later. But, that 230 grain flat nose is an excellent defensive round. I used to load Hornady's 230 FMJ truncated bullet over lots of Unique and it worked great and always fed. Good luck with it.

44 Man,
I'm sure that most of us wish that we could step into a "Time Machine" and undo some of our less-than-prudent deals, trades, or sales. I know that I do! Congratulations on the re-acquisition of your Commander.

Yes, there were several trades I wish I could un-do. One was a nickled 4 3/4 Colt SAA in 44 special with a beautiful action. I traded that one because I wanted a hunting gun and being nickled I didn't want to carry it in the woods. Dumb!!! Thanks, this one will not be leaving. That target is at 20 yds, two handed over the porch rail, 6 oclock hold. This Colt makes me look good! 44 Man
