Just picked uo a camp perry national match RR 1911a1. What kind of magazine was used on these guns. This one has a military 7 rd. mag that looks like viet nam issue.

Mine came with 2 unmarked parked 7 round mags with pinned bases. Has issued shooters initials and a I and II respectively.

All that I have seen came with WWII magazines. The National Match pistol program was winding down about the time that Vietnam was getting wound up.

Depending upon the the year it was used at Camp Perry, it may have center punch marks near the magazine release on the left side of the frame. These marks were found on '62 - '64 Camp Perry NM pistols, some pistols may have as many as three of the marks. Most were issued with three (3) WW II magazines and had the serial number of the pistol engraved on them.
