Since I picked this pistol up NIB in the spring . It has performed %100 and accurate too. I remember when they came out and every one said there cheap don,t buy one. But after shooting this one near 700 rds its flawless and its a COLT. The BIGROLLMARK grows on you when the darn pistol works %100. Finish and fit is great too.

"and every one said there cheap don,t buy one..."
Very true... and yes, it's still a COLT, no matter.
We cannot set back and expect Colts Mfg. to be around much longer if they were to continue making firearms with the same technology and processes used three or four decades in the past.
Take a look at what Beretta has done with their 92FS and 96 pistols... polymer composite trigger and other polymer/plastic parts such as guide rod, safety lever, slide release, mainspring housing, etc.
They have to adapt and if not, they won't be competitive. Colt is no exception to the rules on the playing field and as we all know, they've had plenty of bumps and potholes in the road lately.
One more concern here...

I agree- I have two 1991a1 .45 pistols; a blue one and a stainless one. The only failure I've had with either was with a bad megazine in the stainless. The magazine wouldn't work with any of my .45s, so I tossed it. The prices were good, too. As far as I'm concerned, Colt did a good thing when they produced the 1991a1.

Bought two early pistols. Was so impressed that I bought two more. After much wheedling and arm-twisting, two friends talked me out of two of'em. The other pair have been hard beaters since day one...over 15 years. Both
are on their third barrels, and both have undergone a complete rebuild, including frame to slide retightning. The pair have clocked over a quarter-million rounds collectively. One has never malfunctioned...ever. One has had maybe a half-dozen, that includes a broken slidestop lug...which caused a failure to lock on empty. Quick-changed a spare from the range bag and continued.
