I've been working on my Milspec for awhile now and I'm
getting close to the point of wanting to subdue the stainless finish. I bought a stand up sand blasting cabinet.
Anyone have any recommendations as to size of media?
I don't want it as dark as the blasted / cast color of the top of the slide and frame. I have 50 lbs. of #8 Glass bead. I'd love to just get the glare off and give it a real fine satin finish.
It gets a little expensive buying 50 lbs. at a time and if someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. :)

....I have always been a fan of stainless pistols, but never liked the "non-tactical" shiny flats...I have had all my SS pistols bead blasted by either SA or Accurate Plating....I like both the dark finish, as well as the "champagne" finish as found on the front strap...sorry I can't tell you what # glass bead to use. ;)

Thats O.K. Yeah thats the word I was looking for CHAMPAGNE. I'm a little apprehensive about this part as I don't have much experience in glass beading.
