Same style as used by the factory on custom installations. Gives positive release of the safety from either side of Govt. Model, Commander and copies. Longer than original but less bulk than Long Extended types. Grooved, no-slip contact area.
SPECS: Blued or stainless steel (S/S), matte finish. 5/32" (3.97mm) wide x 11/16" (17.6mm) long contact area. Includes pin.

i've heard Good and bad about them that finish can be poor I'm looking at installing one myself
one other thing ya usually read as bad is that it uses extended pics for locking the offside paddle in which is what i like about it or the kings style is i will use the offside paddle all the time being a lefty

The Kimber Part looks like a good one if you can find it. I plan to try both the kimber goes for about 55$

I prefer the Mueschke or the style like Kimber uses where the pin holds the right side on, but is hidden under the right side safety part.
wichaka,
Look into the King's version, better part IMO. They're not cheap though, but it is the make that the 2112s use on the MEU(SOC).

Thanks OD, you the man!
I forgot about Kings..........yep, look into Kings as well. I like the style where a hidden pin holds them on.

wichaka,
thnaks a lot guys! really appreciate it. so far the only negative about it is just the finish which not is not a problem.

king's is really nice and a well known brand but it's out my budget already. thanks od. just wanna be sure i didn't get a bad part, that's the only option i got from brownells. just in case it was not a good buy, i'll sell it here and buy another one.

Oh come on, safeties are not that expensive and this is a critical part for your safety. Get the extra money. The King's (or the identical Kimber) one, which secures the right side with an extended hammer pin, is the way to go. That's the only ambi I would use on my guns, if I ever decide to use such a thing.

hi john! actually it's a long story why it fell to Mueschke, my original order was chip mccormick but brownells is out of stock. but since it's on its way already, what can you say about this thumb safety since it fits and operates (it has a retaining pin for the other safety on the right side) also like the king's and kimber's. thanks again john.
