Grab it with a set of pliers and twist it, while you holde the outer barrel in your other hand. That's how I removed mine in my Hi-Capa but I do not know which model you have.

Technically, that's not QUITE true -- but so nearly so that you should pay attention.

The law says it has to be there when bought and sold, so once yiu remove it you can't sell the gun unless you replace it. Also, the gun cannot be seen or used in public without the orange tip. Dunno that it would be real bright to carry an airsoft on a public street anywhere, but even if it's legal where you are -- it won't be legal with no orange tip. And even outdoors on your own property is very "iffy" if your property is small enough that you can be seen by passersby.

Unless you shoot only in your own basement, I'd leave it alone.

Thats funny that you mention that, about 4 years ago i bought a spas-12 el cheapo off of ebay just to shoot at whatever with, and i thought it was strange because of the fact that it came with no orange mark!!!! just solid black and it was NIB!!! my other airsoft guns came with either the barrel or the whole front of slide marked orange, so i dont know...If i remember right it came from California, just wondering.

If the weapon was bought and sold form over seas, it might come with out the orange tip. There are many Airsoft suppliers in Hong Kong that do not place the tip on their weapons. A few years back it was easy to get them thru customs. But since 9/11, that is no longer the case. If customs finds it with out the orange tip, they will confiscate the weapon and destroy it.
