Well guy's I got a Nowlin barrel that is chambered in the 400 corbon. I'm planing on going with a SS Caspian slide,but I'm not sure what frame to get. I'd prefer an American made frame Color doesn't matter as long as it is not aluminum. I've seen so many frame manufactures and I don't know the junk from good stuff. Guys I know your going to say only let gunsmiths build 1911's. My Dad made a 1911 back in 1981 along with help. I've got several people I can go to for advice and when I think I'm about to get over my head. So I figure it would be a good project. Instead of buying a motorcycle that could possibly get me killed in traffic in Dallas. Any recomendations will be taken. The barrel is a 6 incher so it'll be a long slide If anyone can suggest a better manufactor form experince I'l take it into consideration also
