Thank you SIR!
Mr. Holbrook, your experience in the 'Nam is just as important to all us Americans as any action in Irak, Afghanistan or wherever one is called to duty. Thanks for serving.
BTW, the stopping power of a .45 is awsome! great testimonial.

Dear Mr. Holbrook,
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for serving to protect and defend my right to live as free person. I cannot find words to describe the gratitude I feel when I read and hear these stories. I know that you and the others like you, are not comfortable with the term, "hero", but that, to me, you will always be.
You, and they, ARE America, my friend. Thank you.
Thank You.

The VC/NVA did NOT get the word that I was a non-combatant, and were trying very hard to KILL ME!!!!
Here is a photo of me in the book "U.S.NAVY: VIENAM" This was a photo essay done be Bob Moeser PHC, a good friend.... It was published by the United States Naval Institute.
The photo was taken shortly before the action involving the Colt and the M16 in the photo is the very POS that was jammed!!! It now rests in peace in the bottom of the Go Cong River. May it remain there forever!

It's probably a distortion from the curvature of the book, but that rifle looks bent in that picture.
If you look close, I think that's the sling, Garrett.

No I see the sling OD. I'm talking farther forward. As I said, it may be just an optical illusion, but the barrel doesn't look like it is in the same plane as the handguard.

The photo in the book covers two pages and it was not completely flat, so it appears curved in the middle...
