View Full Version : 10 round magazines-?-
I'm eyeballing one on Ebay.
SS, 'merican made.
Do they function (assuming mag is well built) or is 8 my dream capacity come true, and stock up on those? LOL
I searched and didnt see anything too close.
Hope its not like posting "what bait to use" on a flyfishing forum :D

I have a Chip McCormick shooting star 10 round magazine with a smooth follower that has always functioned for me. I do not like the fact that is sticks out the bottom so I carry 8 round magazines. I would be careful on ebay when it comes to parts and magazines. I have heard good and bad stories about what showed up in the mail. I would rather buy from a dealer so if the magazine fails you know where to return it.

Don't part with anything you'd miss over Ebay. If something goes wrong, all Ebay can do in return is give you an apology.

Over all these years, I've tried two 10 rounds .45 ACP mags. The first was a Ramline, I got a long while ago. Quite reliable, no problems what's so ever. It included a rubber boot at the bottom, which made it appear like an extension of the grip. If you are using a magwell, you have to trim that boot a little for the magazine to be used, if of course you can still find one around.
The second one is a MecGar, and like all MecGars I've tried it has been 100% reliable. I guess I'll stick with these.
Thanks for the advice

These might cost more.........but for me a piece of mind is worth it.
But I'd stick to either Wilson or Metalform.
