Loose rear sight on SA Ultra Compact

Great informative forum...first post

Recently purchased first 1911...SA Ultra Compact Mil-Spec 3 1/2" barrel with fixed three dot sights. After about 400 rounds down range (without a single failure) the rear sight has become loose. I have carried IWB without holster but I don't think the sight snags anywhere. Being new to the 1911 (have always fired wheelguns) is this something I can easily fix or do I need a 'smith? Should I return to SA for repair?

No need to pay the bucks to a 'smith.

Remove the sight and use a punch to peen up some metal in the base of the dovetail on the slide. Don't go overboard with too many peens marks.....1 is good, but don't go over 2.

Also remove the rear sight, from left to right.
