If I did everything right (a BIG if!), this should be a photo of that USGI Ithaca about which I've blathered on ad infinitum:

Rickleon: What a nice pistol. Why, I bet that set you back $15.00 or 20 dollars, at least, didn't it?

Bill,
Actually, the price I paid was quite reasonable; it was from an estate sale. It IS nice though, and a good shooter too. I don't know if you've been following all my whining about thinking a barrel replacement would improve its accuracy, but once I mastered that GI trigger pull, it turned out to be very accurate indeed. Makes me think that the pistol is as it originally left the factory and not a mixmaster. And once I replaced the old recoil spring with a proper Wolff 16-pounder, it'll now eat ANYthing, just like it's supposed to: unlike my more finicky Springer Mil-Spec or Colt 1991A1. Other than the new recoil spring, I'm leaving it untouched, including the original Hi Standard barrel.

No, no we do not want to see it, we want to own it, so pack it and send it over to me. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease! :D

Keep the original spring, identified to the pistol in some manner.

Oh absolutely! It's carefully tucked away, and I'll indeed label it as soon as I post this. Thanks.

John,
You can't have it. You think after all the trouble I went through trying to post of a picture of the thing, (not to mention the abuse I got for not...) that I'm letting it go?!?! HAH! I will however, think of you every time I take it out to fondly ogle it.

I guess that will be good for my karma, so I'll compromise! Thanks for the thoughts, appreciated. :p
