I own a Firestorm and recently purchased a S.A. stainless G.I. two weeks back.This site has all the info I need to keep them[and future purchases] running great.I'll probably be doing some changes to the S.A. down the road so I'm sure I'll have some newbie questions that need answers.This site also gives me a break from my G-3/Cetme and Mosin hobbies. :-) The 1911 was standard issue when I was in the military[opps, I'm telling my age] so it brings back a lot of memories. I'm glad to be a member here and thanks for building such a great site.

Thanks for the compliments. We try to make the m1911.org web site the best online resource for the 1911 style pistol, and we welcome everyone to join in the fun here. Don't worry about asking "newbie" questions here. I've never seen a web site so accomodating to newbies. I've never seen any of our senior members hesitate to answer a question - even if it is for the 1,000th time.
