Has anyone has experience with CobraMags? How do they compare for quality to Kimber factory or other "custom" mags?
I'm looking for a source for 10mm mags for my Kimber, newly acquired.

I've got three of Tripp's "upgrade" kits for .45.... Seem to work....
Nice people to deal with.
The basic concept seems sound, and an "upgraded" magazine fed some "you bought what?" SWC's that wouldn't feed at all with the "standard" magazines I had. I would think that their own mags would be slightly different, and probably better.
Overall, YMMV and all that, but the upgraded magazines should be fine for the range, and ought to handle ordinary defense loads as well as anything else. Complete magazines ought to be at least that good.
Last time I looked, there was no provision to order from Tripp's web site, but you can e-mail them with your card info and they'll handle it. Snail mail ought to work, too.... Might be a little slow to respond - they were overloaded for a while, but claim to have things caught up.

I have 3 1911 10mm's and have found the best magazine for them is the Wilsin 47. They feed 100%, I even called Wilsons and asked about this and they confirmed that they will work with 10mm and 40S&W, but that is for the newer ones, about 5 years ago they changed the spread on the mag lips for the 45 and a side benifit was it works great as a 10mm mag. My old 15+ year old Wilsond work just fine too but that may be hit or miss.

I just recieved a some 8-round CobraMags that I bought to use in my iAi/AMT .45 Longslide. The quality looks excellent and if you can believe the recent review in the American Rifleman, they sound like an amazing product. The American Rifleman tends to have less BS in their reviews than most other publications, so I took a chance.
I haven't tried them out yet, but it is obvious that the round is held higher and the feed lips grip the cartridge more tightly than in other mags I've got. Worth a try as a last resort before getting rid of the pistol.
