I have in my possesion a 38 super slide with a extestion/compensator. and i was wondering how much this slide would be worth. the finish is 99%. it is a series 70 government model.

I was thinking of matching this slide with a frame and good triggar. the only frame that i have had it fit on was a gold cup model 70. i am looking for the lest expensive frame that will fit this slide. also my local gun shop told me to find a slide that fit too tight and then use an abrasive compound and work it in the action until i get the desired fit. any info anyone has to offer on this would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Your local gun shop did not offer to help you get a frame? Frames are available to FFL holders from Caspian, Essex, Brownell's, and on www.gunbroker.com. (http://www.gunbroker.com.) In my experience, some of the least inexpensive frames may not be what you want. Their specs may not be up to par. Always for the best you can get.
