Who makes .357 SIG magazines for the 1911?

I know Nighthawk makes a 1911 in 357 Sig. I checked their website but none are listed. You might want to give them a call or e-mail. I'm sure they are getting them from their supplier. Probably Novak Mags or Act Mags. Incidentially, I checked the Act and Novak site and none are listed for sale in 357 Sig.

I was/am under the impression that you could use .40 S&W mags for .357 SIG. This may be totally wrong - in fact, it probably is. But, I have been thinking about a 1911-style pistol chambered in .357 SIG for a while now, and had been holding off because I was concerned with the noticeable lack of caliber-specific parts. Only recently did I hear that .40 S&W mags could be used with this cartridge. Since learning this, I've started thinking about this project seriously again. Metalform, Tripp, and Mec-gar all make mags in .40 S&W so availability is pretty good. The cool thing about Tripp is that they make Officer size mags, which is awesome, as I'd like to build a .357 SIG CCO.

No your not wrong. I presently use my .40 mags when I put a .357 barrel in my Sig. This set up works perfect in the Sig.

I guess when you think back on the history of the .357 SIG, being able to use most .40 S&W parts makes perfect sense.

I thought that was the case, I just wasn't sure if there was something particularly different about the .357 that would have the need for a caliber specific magazine
