Should I be able to remove the barrel bushing as normal on my 9mm Trojan? After further inspection it seems as though the guide rod is too long to turn the bushing. I had to resort to pulling the slide far enough back and then removing the slide stop. This process is easy enough during disassembly, but becomes more difficult when trying to re-assemble the pistol.

Another thing I noticed with the guide rod is that the plug does not fit tightly around the rod, which seems odd to me. I have three other FLGRs and their plugs are all nicely fitted. Any thoughts.

Mine is exactly the same. When stripping the gun i take the slide stop out first, and move the slide forward about an inch which just relieves spring tension. Then it comes apart easily.
it's a hassle but the gun is so accurate i can deal with it.
