I know its not a Springfield, but this seems like a good place for it. This one now belongs to a friend of mine. It's the only real case of sellers remorse I have...

Looks like a dandy UMC. I personally haven't seen too many any better that I thought were original. I let one go at Louisville last show. I've regretted it too. Thanks for sharing.

What did you think of the one at Rock Island last month?

I was there, but didn't bid on it. Did you buy it? I only bid on one .45...the early 1911 s/n 142, and didn't get it. But a friend got it. :)

I didn't buy it. I was just thinking if it was all original, it had to be the nicest one in existence.
Would you honor us with some examples of your Singers and photographic skills?

I would like to say, before dsk deletes my post again, that if you show pictures of your Singer that might get the ball rolling. There really is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't care if it has a big rust spot on the rear like your other one, it is still a Singer and worth displaying. :)
I suppose if they are going to leave posts up here like yours, I may as well reply to it so we can move on. No sense in stalling a thread.
Yes, all all my guns all just held together by rust and I have no photographic skills. So I'll be be content looking at yours and those that others post. Thanks for ther offer. That was very kind of you.
In all honesty, posting a picture doesn't prove ownership anyway. Url's can be extracted from almost any web site picture and uploaded to a photo host, as has been proven.

Springfield TRP Operator & Custom Dempsey Fighter
The TRP Operator's unique features include a 5" bull barrel, adjustable night sights, Alumagrips and a full length picatinny rail. It is coated with a Teflon based Armory Koat.
The knife is a custom made by David Dempsey (http://www.dempseyknives.com/). It has a 5" dual hollow ground spear point blade with a upper false edge made from 5/32" S30V steel. It is coated with tungsten diamond like coating and uses gray canvas micarta scales.

BB, that's a real nice rig you got there. However, this is the USGI Springfield Armory forum. The commercial Springfield pistols have their own forum elsewhere on this site.

Oops, sorry I didn't notice that. I came to this thread through the "New Posts" link which shows the forum as "Springfield".

Nice early Springfield. If I am reading the serial number right that is the 105th Springfield made.
