Best guide for custom build?

Greetings to my new friends!

I am interested in building a custom 1911, nothing fancy, just a SS Caspian Recon. Before I get started, I would like to know if there is a better guide (book, DVD, video) for building a 1911. I don't personally know anyone with the necessary experience and would appreciate all the assistance you folks can give me. Thanks.

i haven't built a 1911 yet, but i do have both of Jerry Kuhnhausen's 1911 books on the way. they were highly recommended and considering the fact that i am thinking of putting my current slide on a new frame, i thought it would be a good idea to get them.
