Hey fellas...as some of you know...I got myself a new Springfield Loaded Parkerized about a month and a half ago....I am currently lookin for a tactical or drop leg holster for it...any one got any ideas? I have one that I hate!!!! it has a "quick connect" buckle that attaches the holster to the belt and I belive my gun and both clips are to heavy for it...it keeps comming un-clipped...anyway...I am headin to the trash can with it and am lookin for one that is tried and true for a 1911...below are photos of the one I have...

I have a Safariland 6004 for my TRP Op and I love it. I know many poeple who love them including professionals. I know they make them for non railed 1911s. I can email you a pic if you like.

What Mr. Player said, Safariland 6004 dominates the tactical scene for a reason.

I have used both the Safariland tac holster and the Blackhawk tac holster in combat. The Blackhawk models IMHO are superior for a couple of reasons. One is because of the way they rubberize the leg straps, which minimizes movement (called flop in the industry) on your leg, and because if you happen to fall on your weapon, the soft-sided holster does not cause the damage (to the relatively soft human body) that a hard-sided holster does.
Also, if you are needing the holster for tactical reasons, the Blackhawk models are MUCH quieter than the Safariland models if you happen to brush up on a wall, or if any of your other equipment hits it (rifle, sling, etc...).
Hope this does you some good :D
btw, I threw away my Safariland holster.

alex30808,
Immortal_Ben has some very good points. Every BlackHawk product I've ever used or bought has been of excellent quality and reliability. Just something else to consider before you make your purchase.
