So I ordered an 18.5# Wolff (recoil) spring kit from Brownells and it comes with a firing pin spring as well. My question is if I change the recoil spring, is there a reason to change the firing pin spring as well, or should I just keep it as a spare and use it when the current pin spring get's tired??

Wolff always includes an "extra power" firing pin spring with their recoil springs. I'd keep it as a spare.

Change the firing pin spring every two times you change the recoil spring.
