I used a "sharpie" marker on the recessed part of the bbl lugs and shot the 1911 for about 100 rounds.
Would the "marks" on the bbl be a good gauge as to how many lugs and how "deep" the engagement is? If that makes sense!
All I see is a thin line of marker removed on the first lug(recess) on the bbl.
