just brought my new cd efs home, field stripped, cleaned and and lubed.
everything visually and function wise seemed good. only thing i noticed was that there was a little play in the link and link pin area on the barrel. not side to side but if you were to push and pull the link you,ll notice a little play. my 2000 CD fs model does not have this. big deal or not?

It could cause timing issues if the link can move up and down. It would almost be the same as changing the length of the link. Can you tell where the play is? An oversized link pin may help tighten up the link.

Hunter,
the link pin appears to be snug and secured in the barrel. so it appears that the play would be in the link to pin area. with my lack of knowledge, this may be normal and should be like this i really dont know. i'll fire the handgun this coming weekend for the first time. i have a pretty good idea as far as my shooting capabilities, that i'll know if this little play is affecting the accuracy or not. my other CD fs model shoots pretty nice groups.
