I have a colt factory OM barrel and aftermarket slide that I am fitting it to.
It doesn't lock up completely. When I place the barrel into another slide I have, it fits fine. So I believe that the slide is slightly out of spec.
It looks like the lug closest to the ejection port is a little to wide .005 or so.
So where should I remove material?
Can I file the hood down a bit?
File the slide or open up the lug on the barrel?
I'm inclined to file the slide because I know the the barrel is in spec.
Is there any special tools I need to get? Saftey file, lug cutter. Dremmel :) (just kidding)
Thanks
