The Colt 1991-A1 was Colt's no-frills Series 80 pistol. The Government model size is the most commonly encountered 1991, but they also made Commanders and Officer's ACP models under the 1991-A1 banner. $550 for a stainless version is not the deal of the century, nor is it highway robbery, it is about average. The stocks are not original, the original stocks would have been plastic Colt stocks. The 1991 was available in two flavors, parkerized carbon steel and stainless steel. The finish for stainless is supposed to be matte, but I have seen some with satin polished flats on the slide. Here is one on Gunbroker right now. http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=24948798
