Rock Island parts question

Can rock islands except all of the colt 1911 parts...completely interchangable?

Should be, but I have heard that all Rock Island/Armscor's are not created equal, so adjustments to replacement parts may or may not be necessary.

I have never seen any 1911 that would accept all parts from another without a little fitting. But, it usually isn't too difficult.

Minor fitting is something that may happen when ever you swap parts. As far as I can see they swap both to and from an RIA pretty darn well.

Most 1911's made by most companies accept the same parts, although they may require fitting. (except the various external extractors)

Any parts for an m1911 may probably require a tad of fitting. Except for sights, any RIA 5" will accept std 1911 parts.

If you get them from Ivan they are more likely to be "drop in".
