I've got a Colt Commander 9mm that I'm having trouble dating. My Dad willed it to my Brother who subsequently willed it to me. The only thing I know about it's origin is Dad picked it up in a pawn shop around 1950. The serial # is 1981 -LW. Any info would be greatly appreciated and I can post pics if anyone wants me to.
Thanks,
Tim

Well...I've found that it helps to compliment it on its deep, luxurious finish and offer to buy it a drink...

Thanks! I was under the impression that I would have to pay $100.00 for info from Colt.

Lol! I've complimented her on her slim figure, lovingly stroked her with oil and she's still playing hard to get. When I put the squeeze on her all she does is go BLAM!

She's well behaved and straight to the point though, so I guess I'll keep her around.
