I have 3-2 of them are stock and the 3rd is one I put together with a complete top end and complete bottom end. They came from 2 different sources and work together fine. This one's a bit different from the first 2 I bought. The thumb safety is a more modern style (not a mil spec short shelf) and there is no lanyard loop in the mainspring housing. The holes are not even drilled in. For my money, the Norinco 1911A1s are one hell of a deal. Wish I bought a case of 20 when they were $200

Hello. I don't know how many are enough, but I wish I had another. I'm watching around my neck of the woods for another at the right price.

Best.

Ran into a person I know this afternoon and he showed the norinco he had just picked up from a pvt. party. Very nice needed a good cleaning , had pachmyer grips and Wilson mag also one of those plastic hostler. He said the boy needed money and he paid are you ready $100 FOR THE WORKS. I offered to double his money but he said no. So showed him how to field strip so he could clean I will try to keep eye on him may be he will need money one of these days.

....He said the boy needed money and he paid are you ready $100 FOR THE WORKS. I offered to double his money but he said no....

Several questions:
1: did he rip his pocket off getting his wallet out?
2: did he shake the seller's hand after the sale?
3: does he have any idea that he could have doubled his money, he'll not go far in the finacial world? :D

Returning to the original question, I consider them to be like peanuts, 1 ain't enough and neither is the number 3.

Next I got to get a NP29 - in 9MM then for sure the CZ copy by Norinco which I understand from other posts is a sweet heart and I need another A1 so I can use the one I have for more of a bush gun and then maybe another commander. God if my wife sees this post she will use one of them on me!

I got so-o-o-o-o-o lucky on my first one (almost new) that I've been on the lookout for more ever since. I customized it heavily for competition and now want one that is closer to mil-spec just to keep in the safe.

I guess, in short ..................... you can't have too many. I'd take six more at $312.00

They are FINE pistols.

There are five Nork 1911s between my dad and me at the moment. Two of mine are "race gun" modified, other pair are set up (with night sights, and stairtread tape on the front strap, no other mods) as house protectors. The one at Dad's house has nicer grips and three dot sights. There's always room for another Gov't size in the family, but got my eye peeled for one of those oh-so-rare-in-the-U.S. "NorinCommanders".

Sagittarian Shooter,

I just saw one on display at Royal Interarms here in Cagayan. I dont know if they have a branch near you, but they sure have a lot of Norincos for sale.

I will check if they have a branch near you and ask them the price, i believe the price will be almost the same or a bit lower in Metro Manila than in the province. I will pm you on that one.

This question has been asked around, several times in the M1911.ORG mailing list, and I guess there is only one answer:

You never have enough 1911s. Especially those which are solid guns, like the Norincos.

Now someone is willing to give me one as a gift? No? I thought so. Never mind, even if there was one generous person here, I couldn't accept the gift, I am only allowed to have two pistols, and guess what both are?
