I'm interested in a 1911 with a bull barrel with a short military style recoil spring guide, is that possible??? I was on the Unertl Website and one of the models had a bull barrel but in one of the pictures the full length guide rod was obviously missing. I thought that was strange but at the same time exciting to me. I'm fairly new to the 1911 but I have come to the conclusion that I don't like Full Length Guide Rods, also I have heard good things, for the most part, about Bull Barrels, that they can be more accurate than the standard bushing type of 1911s. If it is the case that you can have a 1911 with a bull barrel and a short recoil system would it also be possible to have that system on a 1911 like the Wilson Tactical Elite or the Nighthawk Predator???
