I like meprolight night sights since they have brighter front sights. I prefer a green front since green is the easiest color for the human eye to detect, and then like an orange rear since it is close to red which is the hardest to detect.

redhart,

I would go with Trijicons.
Trijicons are in vials, Metro's are not. It may not seem like much, but Trijicon can replace bad vials and Meprolight cannot, without replacing the sights themselves.

You're welcome sir.

I have a set of Trijicons that were installed by them nearly 20 years ago, they are still chugging right along (not nearly as bright as the were, but then again, neither am I). ;)

I have Meprolights on my Commander and my Springfield. The sights have proven rugged, and I am very happy with them.

How about Heinie slant pro straight eight. I am considering them, but havent tried them yet. Seems like a good system though.
