Were these only made in chrome finish?

Anyone have any experience/knowledge/thoughts on this model Colt? I can't find much info on them;but found one listed at just over $1K. The McCormick Officer's model I saw was said to be made in 1995;and listed as "NIB".

I think the chrome on the one I saw was brushed chrome;sorta satin-like. Is this the same as "hard-chromed" finish?

I'm pretty sure I'd be happy as Paris Hilton's lap-dog to own one :o

The gun you have in question, is a limited gun from Colt. I'm not sure what the "officers" run was, but I DO have a "McCormick Factory Racer", which is the REGULAR 1911. This gun has a run of only 500 guns, and I have the 22nd gun built. These guns were I think originally set up by "Lew Horton" who is famous for special runs of different gun manufactures. I believe it still exits, the company, that is, so if you do a search on the internet, you'll get to see who they are. As far as the gun is concerned, it is considered one of the best production guns EVER propduced by some. I certainly think it's the best 1911 I've shot or owned. I recently had the sights adjusted too.......AMAZING gun!.......I think you'll want to experience shooting one, and the only way to do it is to BUY it!....LOL.........As far as function......WOW!........I'm sure you'll treasure it if you do end up buying it!...... ;) Cheers The Mouse
