What's a nice 1991 Stainless worth? I have looked at the internet sites and the prices for new ones seem to be about $700 or so. Not a very large sample though-not alot of them out there for comparisons.

I have seen ORM std "black" guns for $450 pretty regularly and cheaper if you get a "deal". Just don't see alot of the stainless guns. Local Gander Mountain has a nice ORM stainless but they want $729 and tax- OUCH, let go of my arm!!!

The Colt 1991A1s in stainless I have seen usually are around the $725 mark give or take.

The 1991A1 SS is really within the range of $720-$750 mark NIB. I've seen NRM for $685 w/c I think is a decent price for a 1991A1 NRM. That's in the internet. Then you add the shipping cost of $25 and the transfer fee.

If you keep an eye on Guns America website SS Colt 1991's do show up for $550 to $650. ORM and the occasional NRM.

Colt prices vary greatly by location. Here in PA a good clean 1991 ORM SS GM can usually be found in the $525-$600 range. I just recently bought a Series 80 Enhanced SS GM .45 for $600 out the door. Appears to have been fired very little, but has the lightest of idiot scratches. Has the tightest slide to frame fit I have ever seen on a GM, tighter than many Gold Cups. I thought it would make a good base gun for a custom build. Not that I really need any more projects.

I just put a new SS Gov't on layaway at Jay's for $695 plus tax. (they have one more) I thought that was a bargain! 44 Man

About five years ago I paid about $760USD for NIB M1991-A1 combat/target - adjustable Bomar sights, adjustable trigger, rosewood grips - and ugly ORM on matte stainless thrown in for free. :)

It's been a workhorse, totally reliable with a number of different magazine/bullet combinations and is my daily CCW.

Adios,
Bob
