Series 70-80

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SERIES 70 AND 80. I HAVE A COLT COMBAT COMMANDER AND THE NUMBERS START WITH A 70XXXX. IS MINE A SERIES 70? :confused: ALSO WHAT ARE GOOD MAGS FOR THE 1911?

Yes, yours is a series 70.

Good mags? Well you'll get alot of differing opinions here, but I use Wilson 47D's for duty use. Have never had a problem with them.

I think you'll find everyone is using, and promoting, the mags that have given no problems; problem is, you'll find lots of different mags giving those results! I use Metalform, McCormick, and Mec-Gar mags in various calibers, and they all work great for me.
