I am trying to find somebody that makes plain wood grips for a Para Ordnance C6.45.
Does anybody know of a source?
Thanks,
John

What kind of wood are you looking for? I make my own grips for my full size Kimber and I'm going to be making them for my Tactical Ultra II(compact as well). I looked on the Para site to get a look at your gun and I don't see anything too complicated. I know I could make you a set for around $35-$40 but none of my friends owns one so here is where some serious trust would come into play. I would need you send me a set of grips and at least one grip screw to make you a set. And since I have my gun right here to test fit the grips on we might need to send the grips back and forth a time or two to get the fit perfect(if I'm going to make you a set you need to be TOTALLY satisfied). Let me know if you are interested, I can send you pics of grips I've made for myself and friends. Good Luck, Jeff S. :D :D

jsinon,
Thanks for the offer and the quick reply. Since I do not have a lot of patience, I'm going to check the web for somebody who has them in stock. If I don't have any luck, I'll contact you.
You are right about them not being too complicated. They are flat on the back and are basically a lop-sided rectangle with half-circles for the MSH and the mag release.
I can send a set of factory grips that I sanded down because the checkering dug in when carrying IWB. The problem is now they are a little too narrow. They may work out after I shoot the gun with the modified grips.
As far as the grip screw goes, I'll try to get a replacement and send it.
Thanks again,
John

Let me know if I can help. The turn around time should be fairly quick since I don't do this for a living and there is no one in line ahead of you.

jsinon,
I sent you an e-mail to thank you for your offer.
If somebodyelse needs similar grips, contact www.woodgrips.com That company makes the C6.45 grips for Para. I told them what I wanted and got a beautiful set of burgandy cocobolo grips in two days.
They don't list the C6.45 grips on their website. In addition to Para grips, they can make them for other unusual size pistols. The service was fast and the grips are perfect,
John
