I hope this is an appropriate question;but I'd like to know the approx. value in USD of a S70 GC that is not officially NIB(fired less than 30 rounds);but is pristine in overall condition(?) Never holstered. The original box is in fairly rough shape.

I have seen them run anywhere from $700-$1500 depending on where in the US and what condition... The box adds some value to some people, but I don't perticularly care. A ratty looking box is not worth much, but it is kind of cool to have the one that came with it... If that gun came my way, I would see paying around $900-$1000 for it, but here in CA we are limited in the guns we can purchase (I can only get a series 70 CG from someone that already lives in my state....can't buy from other states) The same one would probably sell for slightly less in other places...
I would look at www.gunsamerica.com It is a good place to look for an approximate value since the price you see is the price it can be had for... Don't look at the auction sites... they are not a good gague since most of the guns are WAY overpriced on the buy it now option...

Yup, Ericthenorse is right. I bought a 70's Gold Cup about two weeks ago for $850. It was very nice but not "pristine". It had the white styrofoam inside of a brown and gold cardboard box, which did look ratty. The range of 700-1200 American dollars is what I see for asking prices in the Western US. If yours is "pristine" and you don't need the money now then I would think about $1K is what you could get for it, at least in the Western US.
