Series 70 grips

I have found a NIB 70 series gold cup, and the seller says the black rubber wrap around grips are factory. I am not sure this is correct. Did Colt put out 70 series Gold Cups with rubber wrap around grips?

Yes and the ones I have seen had the gold Colt Rampant Horse emblem. The grips were made by Pachmayr for Colt and look like the Signature Series for 1911s.
