Saw a fairly decent Sistema today for $400 plus tax. It had one mag with non-matching S/N and no military or police markings. I passed because I if I buy another one it will have military markings. poppy

Seems to be the going price, $400 -$475, for the basic model (no military/police markings).

The Gunshow in Las Cruces, NM this weekend had 5 Sistema's at one table, if you can believe it....Three of the five were obviously reworked with new parts, but all slides & barrels matched. All had Colt mags. The vendor said he had them done at some firm in Florida. There were 2 Marina de Guerra's and one looked awfully good. All of the Sistema's were priced from $550 to $850...Way too high, and he wouldn't budge...I offered a trade of one of my handguns and cash; and "no dice". He pulled out the Blue Book and low-balled my pistol; but when I asked to have him look at the book on the Sistema's and I would pay the difference: he really gave me the cold shoulder...Oh well, there is always next time....I stayed till about closing today, and he didn't sell any of them...
I guess he likes to look at them.....
BTW, he also had 2 Ballester Molina's; but I wasn't interested...

Do you remember the roll marks on the Ballesters?

Doran, No, I didn't..I had tunnel-vision on one of the Marina pistols...I do remember he had them priced at around $500. I thought that was way out of line, but they looked fairly good...I frequent the Gun shows in most of New Mexico and have never seen this vendor before. He sure is in love with his pistols to the point where "he ain't going to sell any of them...."
