I recently picked up a slightly used 1991 commander. It shoots great but the grouping could be better.
I was wondering if anyone has had increased accuracy with a new "Match Grade" barrel bushing. The barrel to bushing is tight but the bushing to slide is a little loose. Just wondered if it makes any difference.

A good bushing to frame fit is just as important as bushing to barrel.. If you have a little mechanical aptitude, get a "smith fit" bushing, and hand fit it. Sometimes you can even find one that is set up for the barrel, and only needs to be fitted to the slide... :D

Hey usmc1911, we're not too far apart.........Im down here along the gorge.

To get the best accuracy, the bushing should be .001" from the bushing to the barrel.......and another .001" from the bushing to the slide.

If you need a bushing.......call EGW direct and give them the measurements of what I stated above and they will make you one for around 20.00.......and bevel it for carry if you want.

Do call EGW, they are soon going to have a banner here, so we have to support them as best as we can, like the rest of our Sponsors. And their parts are excellent too, so you can't loose on this deal.

Second the motion for EGW. Top-notch products and a policy of serving the customer puts the company in my top ten must-do for 1911 parts needs.
