View Full Version : Grip question

I've been looking at various grips for my Springfield Champion. I like the look of those (grips!) on Esmeralda's website. I was wondering what the opinions are on the grips that are completely smooth, and those that are half smooth and half checkered. Does anyone have any experience or comments one way or the other, or a recommendation for a grip for a carry weapon?

For a carry weapon, I'd use either the "tactical"(half checkered/half smooth) or checkered to insure a good grip/hold if your hands or gun are wet/sweaty.
An option I like is the Alumagrips with their "flattop" checkering- not near the sharp points digging into the hands but solid grip.

Thanks for the input Swampertwo.

I do like the looks of the alumagrips, didn't realize the top of the checkering was flat.

All my carry guns have the half smooth, half checkered grips. Grip where you need it, smooth where it needs to be as well...........
