I have it stripped all the way down to the frame and have removed the barrel, grips, main spring housing and the main spring. How do I release the old trigger and insert the new one?

Push out the hammer pin, looking at the back of the frame......right to left. Then do the same for the sear pin. Take out the hammer, sear & disconnector.
Now, look at the right side of the frame........the off side of the mag release. You'll see a screw........its not a screw in meaning that you do not unscrew it, its part of a cam. Push the mag release in about 1/2-3/4 while trying to turn the screw counter counterclockwise.........there will be a spot, when you get it, it will release about a 1/4 turn.
I put a small amount of pressure on the screw while pusing in on the mag release until you find the spot........its trial and hopefully little erorr, or you'll ruin the screw. Just push the release in and out at about what I mentioned and you'll find the right spot.
After you take it out, the trigger should just fall out of the frame out the back.
When you put your new one in, you'll notice a set screw, its for overtravel......meaning how far the trigger will travel after the hammer drops. Either throw it away, or put some blue loc-tite on it and reinsert.
Put the gun back together.......making sure the grip safety works, as you may need to re-fit the lug that keeps the trigger from moving when the grip safety is not engaged.
If everything works........turn the set screw all the way in til you cant drop the hammer when pulling the trigger. Now, back the screw out until the hammer drops, then back it out about 1/4-1/2 turn more. If you dont back it out the extra 1/4-1/2 turn, the sear will drag on the hammer which will ruin the pull weight, and make the pull feel gritty.
If you have any more problems, come back here and we'll get r done!
