I have a Kimber eclipse custom II and it is still having a FTFeed problems after 700 rounds. It has an external extractor and has had no FTE problems. Every 30 rounds or so when the slide returns to feed it will jam up on the next round and not push it out of the magazine. I am not sure if this is still just a lengthened break in issue of if I should send the gun back to Kimber.

Does it do this with different magazines?

Explain the malfunction in details, we can't be of help otherwise.

It has done the same malfunction with multiple magazines. I am not sure how much more detail there is on the malfunction. The slide hits the rear of the case and stops after only moving the round barely forward. It almost looks as if the nose of the round is hitting the feed ramp and stops. If I rack the slide hard it usually will feed the round the rest of the way

Integral barrel ramp or standard design? (I never know about these dang Kimbers)
Does the round take a nose-dive into the ramp or does it run fairly straight into it and stop?
Any particular place in the magazine...top round or last round?
At random? Only from slidelock during a reload, or during live-fire?

It happens at random. The bullet nose seems to be hitting the ramp straight on and stopping. It may be pointing slightly downward but not very noticeably.

The same problem had occured with FMJ and JHP Hydroshok style ammo.

Integral ramped barrel or barrel separate from the feed ramp?

Has it done this from the beginning? Was there a trend + or - ?
I had the same problem with an external extractor Kimber Ultra CDP. The problem WAS the extractor. Somehow partial extractions/ejections were getting pushed out by the next round so the FTE was looking like a FTF. When Kimber got it, all they did was replace the external extractor and the FTFs went away.
